Santa Loves You

It’s your turn…
Come to Santa, my dear

If only for a minute
Forget life is often cruel
And you are hungry
Forget your sadness, little one

Believe if only for a short reprieve
In the magic of Christmas
That dreams can come true
That you too deserve a happy home

Find it in your heart to smile
And trust in miracles for that one minute
Live in the joy of the moment
Free of fears that weigh you down…

Santa has a present for you
Perhaps the only one you’ll get this year
There’s no justice in the world
Santa’s smile really hides Santa’s tears

Miss Line, you have nailed the joy and sadness of Christmas. For that one minute when Santa and the little one share a joy that the world cannot penetrate. Well done!

It brings children joy to believe in the magic of Santa. There is such sadness in knowing so many children in this world suffer. Your poem conveys that poignantly Line and Tim. Very moving. xxoo

Line, You keep the spirit of Christmas the whole year round. Here we come a-wassailing Among the leaves so green; Here we come a-wand'ring So fair to be seen. Love and joy come to you, And to you your wassail too; And God bless you and send you a Happy New Year And God send you a Happy New Year. "God bless us, every one!" Quote from Tiny Tim, C. Dickens "A Christmas Carol"

oh wow, this one is really poignant. So sad that more than half the world can't even really believe in Santa when they are little children. Well done, Line (and Timothy)

A poem that makes me realize that even though it is a bundle of work, the Christmas we give to 90 children a year at our school is worth the work. So thank you for a terrific reminder, Line.

It is sad and kids who’s families can’t afford presents are left to wonder why they receive so little when other little boys and girls receive so much. This is a good poem as it causes one to ponder.
