Santa: Lost In Canada

Santa Claus got lost in a wild snow storm, his Covid mask slipped in a snowflake swarm; it ended up on his eyes, no one could hear his loud cries; lost his reindeer- I am sad to inform ! But, a rescue team found them drinking tea, they were jolly and full of Christmas glee; thank you! But we MUST depart, would love a cookie dessert; then, Santa Claus pretended to hug me ! ___________________________ Added after Judging December 5, 2020 Poetry/Rhyme/Santa: Lost in Canada Copyright Protected, ID 12-1309-750-05 All Right Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Santa's Covid Christmas sponsor, Carolyn Devonshire, Judged 19/12/20 First Place

How I sympathized when the mask fell over Santa's eyes. Those masks cover my whole face. Thank goodness Santa was found by the "rescue team." Nice punch line at the end -- he "pretended" to hug you. Well done, Constance! Congratulations on a first-place win. Hugs, Carolyn
