Line's Bitesize No 99 Contest ~ January 31, 2025

Slowly, there was a sanguine setting of the sun A breathtaking vision before twilight had begun No artist's brush could ever capture the glowing nor the rippling waves from the wind blowing I watched as the beauty of it enveloped me... that moment when daylight drowned in the sea

Lin, this has a wonderful quality that makes me stop and imagine what you have described. The drowning of sunlight is a strong image. I really like what you do poetically. It's an admirable talent!! Smiles!!

Breathtaking poem , i love the alliterations and also how descriptive it is, as a sunset lover this poem really resonates with me and i love how youv personified elements of nature especially love the line "that moment when daylight drowned in the sea" stunning! Can see through your picturesque lines, and the picture youv used is so fitting too! Best wishes. Pleasure reading this sun-kissed poem

Hi Ink and thank you so sincerely for your thoughts on my poem. Sunsets are quite lovely, but I often find sunrise even more beautiful. Pity that more aren't awake to enjoy them, but such is the way my inner clock works.
