Sangfroid Buddha

Decades of sweat and toil
Turn a filthy hell-hole
The colossal disasters efface
Even the civilized human race

The bereaved throat sobs
Every eye sheds tears
Yet amid the weird graveyard
The tranquil Buddha sits unmoved!

(In tsunami-smitten Shrilanka
  this was the scene in
  one of the graveyards)
