Notes About The Poem

Sands of Time

I started life as
A grain of sand,
But knew I’d find
A way to expand,
And always being
A bit of a rebel,
I joined with others
And became a pebble,
And as I grew
And then took stock,
I then realised
I had become a rock,
And as I become more
Confident and grow older,
I wonder if I’ll become -
A little boulder?

Thanks Anselmo. Talking of the universe, two days ago, my latest book 'Clive's Uni-Verse - A Cornishman's take on life' was published! It contains 100 poems, but it doesn't include this one. I'll have to consider include this poem in the next book I write!!! :) ~ Clive

Thank you for your comment. Great to see, and very appropriate, that the very first person to make a comment on this poem is called 'Sand blown'. You are talking of the universe, which is also very appropriate, as yesterday my latest book 'Clive's Uni-Verse - A Cornishman's take on life' was published! It contains 100 poems, but it doesn't include this one. :) ~ Clive
