Sandman Sings a Lullaby

It's been a gorgeous summer day: and now that it is time for bed, still active, your mind wants to play. Why don't you snuggle close to me and watch the sunset together, while we embrace reality. Just look at that pretty pink sky inked by a sinking scarlet sun, Nature can overwhelm the eye. At dusk, the stars will all come out to twinkle brightly in the night, where we'll spot shooting stars, no doubt. But sleep's tempting you, I can tell, tugging your lids, partially closed; just close them, baby: all is well. The Sandman sings a lullaby that you can no longer resist, for it's time to give dreams a try. Capture a dream within a tear and let it trickle down your cheeks: time to sleep, there's nothing to fear. That wizened old man in the moon vows to watch over you, so sleep while the nightingale sings its tune.
