Hemmed in on each side by pier post And rope that holds no hope. But in the East the sun everyday rises Assurance in sameness there's no need to grope

So nicely rhymed, Sara, + a thought provoking piece as well. Let's pray that there are some ropes of hope in this chaotic world. Take care. Best wishes, Brian

Brian, There is hope in Jesus but the world is coming to an end because that is the way it is supposed to be. Thanks for stopping by. Sara

How can a person cross a bridge when there is a rope that holds no hope - very sad, both sides are stuck to their own sides for who will risk his life to go out and fix this rope with no hope - excellent verse Sara. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jennifer, Sometimes we get caught up in those situations where there is no hope and we feel that we face a place like that with rotten pier post and rotten rope that will not catch us. We know that tomorrow is going to be just the same as yesterday and today and forever but we get up and go on until God decides to change things for us. Thanks for stopping by. Your comments are spot on.Sara

Harry, You would think a rope on a pier would be there for support but time can take away the safety that it offers due to decay or aging whichever way you want to look at it. Thanks for your visit for it is always an uplifting review. Sara

A rope which holds no hope, how evocative, makes me think of being held captive with no sense of freedom, best wishes for the contest!
