Same Place

A memory of what once was
                          I sit here
I see a young man and his dog
                    I need not wonder
                         For I know
He has escaped from a place of fear and pain
                     A place I know well
He is from the past I know
               He looks at me;Not possible
He stops and begins to walk towards me
                          His dog follows
Now in front of me;We know eachother
" Are you free" he asks
                    " Are you" I replied
"In this place I am" he explained
" Is that not why your here" he asked
Think of my answer;he walks away
              Disappearing into the shadows
                    A spirit in my memory
It was me in a place I loved
