Salvador

Melting clocks hanging from the branches of trees. A strange array of objects without time or place. Butterflies emerge flying against the breeze. Nothing makes any sense within this inner space. Salvador, you brought us into a world so strange. A motley of colors within a plane of two dimensions. Disseminated disproportionate entities within a range. Few of the brightest can grasp comprehensions. You are gone, but your work we can see. It is all a venturous escape from reality. "Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali

Robert, you did a splendid job describing Dali's work! I remember seeing this painting as a child and being completely baffled and fascinated by the bizarre images. You capture that strangeness so well here. I really enjoyed reading this one. Congratulations on your win in my contest!

I wonder what went on in his mind when painting; he sure had visions I could never conjure up. Reality wasn't part of his theme but his pictures sure shook the walls.

Do you believe a lot of of poets are artists and/or love art?...I know I 've heard that Nette paints and a few others...I simply adore going to the art exhibits and find it opens up the most pleasant places in my mind...What about for you, dear Robt...if u know how to attach one of his pics to this poem it would be neato keen!...I just did for my first poem yesterday..feeling a lil inadequate with all these pics that poets attach to their works...best to you,,,,wondering how it's a 'goin. This is a good write. I guess art is in the eye of the beholder- like beauty. Everyone sees it different. I like your last sentance. Lucilla
