Everyone will be salted with fire. “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” Mark 9:49?-?50 NIV Salt once traded ounce for ounce for gold To preserve food to not harvest mold All humans and livestock need salt to survive As the Queen bee is needed in a hive Sending out pheromones to give guidance As we shall hear when we dwell in silence Let us become the salt of the earth Absorbing the living water unto a new birth That we might preserve His word Coming together into One herd As the spirit guides each of us in unity To become a divine community Each grain looks so tiny But when coming together is mighty How can we make salt useful again By absorbing the the One who brings the rain

All glory to God, great to hear from you, indeed it's available for all to absorb, if only more knew what they were rejecting, May God bless, comfort, guide and fill you with His peace, love, spirit and joy in abundance: )

This is a very thoughtful and philosophically gorgeous write that truly reflects the ideas of unity and balance within the words of wisdom that you've beautifully articulated.. I'm loving the comparisons made here, especially with the use of salt, that's so intriguing in itself.. "Each grain looks so tiny But when coming together is mighty", "How can we make salt useful again By absorbing the the One who brings the rain" Ahh, those last lines are definitely profound..This poem is a FAV for me :)

"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.” Love this verse from the Gospel of Mathew. Salt is indispensable for life. Let us be the salt of the earth to enliven other lives. Beautiful poem as ever, dear Stephan.
