Sailors On the View
SAILORS ON THE VIEW
sailors on the view,
sitting uniformly in the front row —
viewing the view.
waves from the forward and aft,
inspect the crisp, clean suits
and polished shoes, polishing
up on today’s news.
choked up anchors,
relegate their eyes,
with tongues wagging.
a bright beam in their eyes,
like a lighthouse lamp, brings
the hosts back, to the shores of reality.
