Notes About The Poem

Sailor Boy

Fearless sailor boy, the wide open seas are calling,
As the whistles of thrushes, when no one is talking.
Royal destiny and daring, has led you here this day,
And deep thirst for adventure, will sweep you away!

Always your heart has known, one day you'd set sail,
Into the golden horizon, where contentment prevails;
But the tears you leave behind, has caused you sighs,
Someday you'll be returning, as true love never dies!

Hi Evelyn, Your chosen words created such a lovely scene filled with stunning imagery. I could just picture the sailor sailing in the vast ocean—good last line. I enjoyed the read. Ps, I enjoyed the instrumental rendition of “ Sailing” I like the song as well. Have a good day and weekend:-) Alexis

Beautiful sentiments Evelyn. I wish I loved sailing but seasickness would prevent me.
