Safe Place

I sit on the cliff top
Watching the world go by
Listening to seagulls
Squaking in the sky

hearing waves crashing into the rocks
Wearing flip-flops without socks
Feeling the sun beating down on me
Oh how nice it is to be by the sea

This is my safe place 
Out of the rat race
People walk past but Don not see
This ex soldier taking in the scenery

The breeze passing past my face
I love it here in my safe place
Nothing can stop the feeling of content
I'm even thinking about pitching  a tent

This way I could live  without any stress
As sometime you feel your life's a mess
Find your safe place close to the sea
I promise you'll be content like me.
