Safe In Goldilocks Zone

                        I am so lucky to
            live in the Goldilocks Zone 
where it is not too cold and not too hot
just like in the fairytale of the three bears

                        Earth is the only
planet with air, mountains, valleys and canyons
and lush forests with trees reaching for space
and most important is water for plants and flowers

      and for the people and all
the fish, the birds, and every creature
                         oh, yes I am lucky
            to call Earth my home where it is just right
    not to cold and not too hot
                       nice and safe for now . . .

Carolyn Devonshire March 28, 2021 at 2:50 PM You hit the nail on the head, Constance. I think some contestants haven't researched the "Goldilocks Zone," but it's just as you describe it. It's said Mars might have once been habitable, but right now only Earth is. Of course, there could be Goldilocks Zones in other solar systems. Very interesting poem, Hon.
