Look into the bluest skies Searching for familiar face Hoping there you are alive That you smile you found grace Never knew when I’d lose Your gift of presence you see A sad surprise we don’t choose Who dies or when they leave Heroes and heroines die too No matter how good they are And as they lived so they move Towards heaven as a star I can sulk and try to hide My tears and somber mood Heroes and heroines of life Would want you to go on to move In the spaces where they were Living their very best life Time it flies like a blur Make them proud with your goodbyes I sing a song of grief today I will honor them tomorrow Be the hero of hearts I pray Strength in action despite sorrow
