Sad Sad Day

Destiny is struck, the pace has been set My eyes glean the crowd, our eyes met She smiles surreptitiously, he responds enthusiastically How simple is this love, how true we promise vehemently They are made for each other the whisperers say They will remain together forever we foresay Yet alas a few yers later, they divorce we hear He gets the car, she the house they discuss And the kids? you hear yourself ask Oh, he gets them on weekends Thank God! She seems happy at the outcome her love she forgot Alas far too common this has become Please consider the kids for once!
