Sad Love Poem

hurt you
I didn’t mean to
You’re long gone
But I’m still here singing this song
I hurt too

I hate myself for what I did to you
For the pain that I caused
I cheated
But for some reason I can’t carry on
I’m still here singing this sad love song

It’s been two years
And the pain still hits me from time to time
Do you still think of me,the girl you fell in love with
Have you totally forgotten about me
Have you completely moved on
Cause I’m still here singing this sad love song 

I haven’t forgotten
I don’t think I can
Not until I know I’m forgiven
Not until I know that I didn’t ruin us completely
Until I know whether we can be friends or not
Cause here I am singing this sad love song

I don’t think I could take it if you hated me too
If you could never forgive me
Awhile ago I would have asked for a second chance
But now I know that I won’t get one
I broke your trust and that is hard to earn back
And here I am singing along to this sad love song

I’m not obsessed with you
I’m obsessed with the fact that I hurt you
I don’t miss you as much as I used to
They say you never truly get over your first love and you were mine
So here I am writing this sad love poem
