Sad Dizain

So many long years have gone on their way, Since I was held in your strong loving arms. So many times I've remembered the day You caressed me and told me of my charms. We had no fears and no thought of alarms. We were so sure our love was forever. We each promised that we would part never. Dire wars were brewing we knew nothing of, To cut strings we thought nothing could sever. Dreadful war didn't return you, my love. Written: 5/18/16

Truly sad, Joyce. I know you lost your husband years ago but can't recall if it was to war or not. I'm glad I found this one of yours today.

Poignancy of emotion in just ten dizain-lines lingers in the consciousness for a long time...
