Rustic Puzzle

A
slice of
buttered toast
with iced coffee.
That dollop of Sun
frames the edge of the sky.
Rustic puzzle of cracked leaves
break apart right beneath my feet.
Old corn cob hit with a lightning strike.
Just another morning in late autumn.
