Rusted and Busted

Romance was there, once
Understated but always present
Solid, but slowly giving way
To rust and time.
Each component was inevitably bound to
Decay

And yet, we can
Never
Deny the power of each journey taken

Because, though age strikes the eye above all
Underneath shines the glory of the past
Strong. Intact. And an important
Testament to what was there,
Emotion, left to slowly
Dissolve to peace
