Russian Evil Will Thrive If Good Men Do Nothing

The west went in guns blazing to help their fellow man
In Syria against the Islamic State and in Iraq and Afghanistan
They brought an end to a campaign of terror and a killing spree
And made the world a better place and safe for everybody. 

So why in God's name is the civilised world, just standing by? 
While thousands of innocent men, women and children die 
What is it about Russia, that murdering terrorist state? 
Are we just going to look away, leaving them to their fate?

Ukraine is running out of fresh water, they have no electricity 
While the Russians carry on firing missiles, indiscriminately 
And committing atrocities that would make a grown man cry
A harsh winter is fast approaching and many people will die. 

Why are NATO and the civilised west worried about escalation?
While Russia carries on pulverising that peace loving nation
Enough is enough,  NATO needs to put boots on the ground 
And rain down hellfire on that Russian scum, round after round. 

The west is sending arms and humanitarian aid to Ukraine
But dragged their feet when they requested a fighter plane
Vladimar Putin growls like a dog and the west backs away
We shouldn't listen to his rantings, he must be made to pay.

Ukraine got rid of all nuclear weapons with the fall of the iron curtain
I bet they wished that they hadn't given them up of that I am certain 
Because the yellow backed Russian scum would never have invaded 
And their threat to world peace would never have escalated.

Robert Lindley June 10, 2023 at 11:46 AM Plain truth is evil often triumphs my friend. Such is the truth in this instance, imho. War is always --HELL- and Russia never plays around. But truth is that Russia as gotten in and is scared to just walk away. Tis bad all he way around. God bless,.. Tom Cunningham June 10, 2023 at 11:55 AM Thank you very much Robert, Putins back is against the wall and he'll keep sending Russians to the front line hoping they'll overwhelme Ukraine, many Russians don't even want to be there and many have surrendered, They've lost more men and equipment in a year in Ukraine compared to mine years in Afghanistan. Now, those poor people are being bombed while suffering without electricity for heat, and winter has set in. How many have died for the lack of aid? I feel the shame of being a citizen of a country that didn't do enough to end Putin's greed but destroying him LONG before now. Great rhyming narrative, Tom. Over the years you've see him with other world leaders all smiles and handshakes pretending to be everyone's friend, beggars belief how Europe how become so reliant on Russian gas, I'd rather freeze if I thought it would help Ukraine. David Kavanagh November 25, 2022 at 10:17 AM You know Tom, I believe Putin knows the war is unwinnable, his only chance of ending it and saving face, is bombing the Ukrainians to the negotiating table, NATO will not get directly involved, but that’s not to say they’re indirectly involved already! I too feel your frustration at the Russian murderers, another excellent factual piece, cheers David Tom Cunningham November 25, 2022 at 10:31 AM Thank you very much David, He thinks bombing power stations and other utilities will make Ukraine surrender, if anything it makes them stronger, we've already supplied arms so in a way we are involved, but they need fighter jets to take out their missile batteries, there's no need to enter Russian airspace unless that's where they're being fired from. His army are a disgrace, a pack of wild dogs. As rumours say he's I'll and doesn't care who gets killed, I don't know how he sleeps at night. Tom

You provided a fantastic portrayal of the terrible predicament and the awful scenarios that have developed as a direct consequence of Putin's behavior as the Russian vermin in Ukraine. I only hope, too, that he is sick as is rumored. I think many Russians do not approve of his mad dog assaults on Ukraine. Exceptionally good writing, my friend.
