NB In my view the end of poem is ironic.

The high speed walker/sprinter at the start loses their traction

and become as slow as rush hour cars

Mine is a wild spring step, shoe heels dash leaf strewn path, I spy wrinkled driver’s, rueful rush hour grim mien, from sleek chrome cars crawl as, my drained feet moult traction!

And congrats to you too. I think you made a change with a new pistol? I know I saw this poem before!

Thanks for that, Andrea. Just for clarity’s sake my contest entry was a separate improved version of an earlier work you kindly read. Howard
