Rupture

In the vaulted sky where thunder roars,
Clouds rupture with a mighty force.
Lightning dances, a fiery waltz,
As rain descends in soothing salts.

The heart, too, can rupture deep,
In agony and pain, secrets it keeps.
Yet, unlike storms that quickly pass,
Time rains down, healing the heart's morass.

Years cascade in a gentle stream,
Softening wounds, as in a dream.
The echoes of pain may still remain,
But with time's touch, they wane.

Our hearts rupture from time to time, giving us great pain. But Time is a great healer. As years pass by, our pain will definitely wane. Beautiful poem dear Jay!

Dear Jay, The imagery of the storm mirroring the pain within the heart is incredibly powerful, and the contrast between the fierce lightning and the "soothing salts" of rain paints a vivid picture of the emotional turmoil being described. The line "Time rains down, healing the heart's morass" is particularly striking. It offers a beautiful and hopeful message about the power of time and reflection to mend even the deepest wounds. While the echoes of pain may linger, your words assure us that they will eventually wane with gentle time. Great Read! - Blessings, Daniel
