Running With the Lone Wolf Pack
We all have a gift
Wrapped up tightly
Secured by our emotions
Hidden away from the outside world
Some may believe we are not worth giving
We may believe we need to be returned
A pretty box may be what they see
But an empty soul may be all it contains
Do you dare unwrap your gift
Unleash it out into the world
With no guard
with no safety net
In the middle of a crowded street
Do you dare peel the hurt back for all to see
Do you vow to be the lone wolf forever more
Run astray from the pack
Feel you don't fit in
Rush to an end before there is a beginning
Beyond every pair of eyes is a story
and every gift that is unwrapped
no matter how ugly how hurt or how lost
There is someone out there willing to unwrap it
and love it for who or what it is now and will become later
For all you lone wolfs out there you are not alone in your struggles
and love does not run from you; you run from it..
I use to be the one running....
