Runaway Child
Far away from home
Nowhere to go
Nowhere to be accepted
No sense of belonging
Sinful man maybe he is
A disgrace to his family
Deprived from his home
Shameful of what he is
People shook their head as they judge him
Murmuring and whispering words against him
Yes he might have done what they are saying but not all
But even so he needs to keep running away
Walking in the street with the scorching heat above and dirty road below
Hunger and survivability have cause him another mistake
He said to himself, “They must be right there is no hope for me to change.”
Remorse and regret are all he feels
For he thinks his family’s misery are all because of him
He wants to go home but is he worthy to do so?
Brace yourself runaway child and stand up from where you have fallen
Close your ears from whispers of hopeless word
Listen to your heart and let your will overpower the darkness that covers you
See and know that there are still people who are waiting for you to come back
Run and follow the light until you find your way back home
Where you will be loved unconditionally no matter what
For you have been forgiven and accepted since before you runaway.
