Ruins

As the girl sits high on the hill
She sees the ruins down below

The land once cleansed with
Love
Happiness
Joy
And health

Has now been chocked with
Hatred
Sorrow
Pain
And death

The ones who said they were right
Have destroyed what was once was

They took the bait of money
Letting greed take over

They now let people starve
And leave people homeless
Caring for no one but themselves
As they see people walking pass
Feeling hopeless

They sit on mighty thrones
And treat us like drones
They have taken away our voices
They made sure of that
For we are never right we are always wrong

The girl stands up and gazes once more
Then with a teared face
She thinks to herself
Oh why did they have to ruin our fate
