Rufus Buck was known to be mean as a sidewinder and twice as crooked. He boasted his band of outlaws would overshadow the reputations of any other outlaw band of their time. Robbery, rape and murder was his favorite sport. Any who came across his path were robbed and then he would kill you just to watch you die. His reign of terror lasted just thirteen days and then they were captured after killing Deputy Marshal John Garrett.
