Royalties Demise

Paper crisp, dead brown, leaves cluster between the straggly vines. The potted purple petunias valiantly hold their final blooms, alive and regal within death’s grip, refusing to surrender.

Nice tribute to the persistence of nature. Nice, allegorical work! Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish

hmm. is royalty some kind of flower? or I guess it's all metaphor, the emperor is slowly but surely stripped of all his clothing. Sounds like he didn't go down without a fight thoguh. I respect that, the poor petunia.

Yes, Deborah...you make a true statement, we are like them holding onto to life even when is is our final hour! So magnificently thought-out and written. I wish the very best. Love, Andrew.
