12 beautiful Lines Contest Sponsored by Constance la France 4/18/25

THE RLNI WAS ACTUALLY STARTED ON THE ISLE OF MAN

“With courage nothing is impossible” Sir William Hillary, a retired soldier and founder of the RLNI A trawler's in distress at sea It’s sinking, the crew cannot flee A mayday message reads “Rescue me” Their lives are at risk, as you can see Brave lifeboat men will never tire From aiding ships, some on fire To save those at sea they do aspire These volunteers I much admire All lifeboat crew are very brave Each year many lives they save Like surfers caught by a freak wave Preventing deaths in a watery grave

Jan, very nice salute to the courageous sailors who do work like this. It's full of hazards for sure and they deserve credit. Thanks for doing this one.

A lovely tribute Jan, to those brave volunteers who risk their own lives to save others. Heroes every one of them I often think of the Solomon Browne and how they all perished at sea battling 60 and 70 foot waves. Tom
