Routine

The clock's hear beats upon my tired eardrums, stabbing my emotional and physical brain. Soon my human feet flatten the silent carpet, while the glass windows are washed with rain. Weariness turns my eyes a bloody red, dragging my tired body through another long day. My unpainted mask reflects fake smiles, as I fall prey to routine's dull sway. Daily tasks drain my natural energy, swallowing my excitement for life's party. My body remains submerged in daily sand, while life's spiced joys seem destined to be tardy.
