Round Colored Pegs

On small chubby legs --- I placed round colored pegs --- Into a flat brown wooden board --- Doing it the regimental way made me bored --- Red, yellow and orange, on through --- Is the teacher's point of view --- Not at all of a five year old --- Who's opinions seems too bold --- So this teacher slapped my face --- Although I did try to plead my case --- And as the tears trickled down like hot coal --- An unremovable scar was placed upon my soul.

Aw, that must have hurt! Such a cool way to describe this kind of damage to the small soul. I think you are an interesting poet. LUv, Andrea

This happens way too often to kids. Teachers should build up not tear down. Good use of rhyme to make your point. Keep on writing! Karen

Things like this happen and shouldn't. Messages like this one get out there and it will help to change things. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
