Round and Round the Hamster Goes

Round and round the hamster goes 
when he'll stop nobody knows 
busy busy all the time 
just to earn a blessed dime 
round and round he's always striving 
hanging by a little show string  
Stop a while and count your blessing 
take some time for sweet confessing 
Round and round the hamster goes 
never gets there but he's close.

We went on holiday one year and left him with a friend, and he got away and chewed up his air conditioning wires on the hottest day of the year. And also this is the reality of so many. And the way you write about such heartfelt subjects always leaves me in awe. Hamster too, can be a metaphor… thats how i perceived as a reader.
