Round and round
we go round and round
repeating the same mistakes
Attempting to forgive, trying to forget
Letting go, holding on
hoping, begging
for a different ending, a new start
another promise to keep
another heart to love
another home to protect
Yet, we always end back where we started
breaking ,
hurting ,
and leaving ...
