I wrote on my roses because I adore them but hate spiders. Seeing the spider web as I trimmed my bushes the other day made me think how spiders and other critters must be lurking in there!

Andrea, One of the most beautiful Haikus ever. Thanks for your review of my “Moonlight Ghost Resemblance” poem as it is a deeply personal work for me. The question marks were unintended blunders which you kindly brought to my attention. Howard

I so relate to your roses, Andrea! We have a rose garden with 20+ bushes. Bought a new one this year called Ketchup and Mustard. It sits near Hot Cocoa! I put up with the spiders as they eat mosquitoes! Congratulations on your win!

Spiders do seem to be everywhere. Maybe the ones on your roses will trap more dangerous insects in their webs. Very creative! Best wishes in the contest. Hugs, Carolyn

Andrea, I love to find your Haiku 'roses', enjoyed with my Wednesday coffee. And those lurking spiders that live among us. I leave my Daddy longlegs alone. They hunt bad spiders. -Richard
