Rose
I went to the home of the man with the breed
the pups in the out house having a feed
as we approached,they jumped up at the gate
all except one that sat back and did wait
Springer Spaniel pups all white and brown
the one sat apart, puppys eyes, head down
she chose me, i know that for sure
i was drawn to Rose, her pedigree so pure
i took her home to my mam
a few weeks later training her with ham
i would keep her indoors then i would hide it
then would be " go Rose where is it"
she would follow my trail to where i have tracked
then in no time at all sh`ed have it back
i then started training her with more difficult things
other dogs simply throwing fetch and bring
then came the most hardest part
i cryed for days , it did break my heart
i had to part with her,`cos i moved home
no pets in my flat, i felt so alone.
