Root
I am a root, forever growing
Growing to reach the heaven
But the sun burns me to the core
So I lurk in the shadows
I swallow my pride
And shine and shine
And continue to reach for the sky
No man, woman or being
Will cut off the roots, these roots
My roots
until i swallow the sun
and ransack the heavens for my dreams.
