Rooster That Never Crowed

Rooster grew up strong as rock, ambitious
but all it could do was to weep, weep
whenever he opened his mouth to crow
other roosters rushed to kick and bite him

Young hens often surround the proud rooster
they spread red carpet of love and honor
but the rooster could do nothing in response
to avoid provoking other roosters monitoring

Young chickens desirous to chat, lay eggs
found no space to achieve their life goals
Fights often erupt to stop sweet-heart’s chat
poor hens and chicks often run for their lives

For long the rooster has not crowed or spoken
He sits alone under shades silently weeping
