Room Mom (at school) The room mom comes, and brings wonderful surprises with her, not once, but every time. She... is someone's real mom, but for a few moments, once in a while, she is all of ours, to share. Why? Because she cares... We paint with colorful brushes, and plant sunflower seeds. We talk about the bees, and even the importance of weeds. That everything has a place, and there is a space, for everything... and most importantly... that everyone, is someone. The room mom comes. She is someone's mom. I wish she were mine.

That’s how I felt when I would help the prek teacher. I wish she had been mine.

I wish I could have been a mom to a lot of the kids, that seemed so hungry for the smallest smile... or tiniest kind word spoken in their direction. God bless teachers. They are important. I loved my time helping, dressed in costumes and reading adventure books. Every face is forever in my heart. Hugs for your day sweet friend. Ann
