Room Mom (at school)
The room mom comes,
and brings wonderful surprises with her,
not once, but every time.
She... is someone's real mom,
but for a few moments,
once in a while,
she is all of ours,
to share.
Why?
Because she cares...
We paint with colorful brushes,
and plant sunflower seeds.
We talk about the bees,
and even the importance of weeds.
That everything has a place,
and there is a space,
for everything...
and
most importantly...
that everyone,
is someone.
The room mom comes.
She is someone's mom.
I wish she were mine.
