Sadie was an old lady
Who badly wanted a baby,
She had a dog and a cat,
A horse, pig and a rat,
She was an eccentric old lady.

Sadie was too old to give birth; The animals were a poor substitute, She needed Mr Fix.

I had my last baby when I was 39, considered old 46 years ago. I think the older the mother is, the less likely it becomes to see the child grow up in many cases.
