Romancing Summer

The sun is a shining,
My heart is a pining,
Bright summer is here,
The hammock reclining,

I'm going a swimming,
My heart is a brimming,
Cool water calls out,
I'm already dreaming,

Light flowers are dancing,
My heart is romancing,
With melting ice creams,
Summer is entrancing.

Your poem said it all with humor, wit and a minimum of words. I love it! Best wishes. Deb

Your joyous, bouncy words read like rhythm and dance, Jo. It's getting cooler here..so I appreciate reading this tribute to summer.
