Notes About The Poem

Romance in Durango

We met south of the border in Durango
and she was hot and loved to fandango.
  She said at a glance
 "senor like to dance?"
No mamacita, but I'd sure love to tango!

She said her wild passion God created
and that her dance of love was sacred.
I told her “I’m like you
and have passion too
but in my dance of love we are naked!”
