Rogue Hushes

Day-after-day the widow
"listens out for the ordinary"
and hears only susurrant voices
until deafness overcomes her

Loneliness gets to the eyes too. Like this one because I can relate. Congrats on the selection. Love, old daver

A very 'sound' poem, a sense not often encountered. Well done.

Here's an example of how a little poem can deliver a big whallop. Susurrant... it doesn't want to leave my tongue... it lingers in my mouth and mind. Loved this, honey. How are YOU? Hope all is well. I want to write, but the kitchen calls. My sink in piled, a stew needs to be made and I feel like there are spurs being dug into my back... cheers and thanks for all your warmth and encouragement. You so make me smile. Cyndi
