Rockin'

white head bowed
the old lady sits
in her chair
by the window
the chair where once
she rocked and nursed her babes.
Now she rocks herself
back 'n forth back 'n forth back 'n forth
rocks does she
rocksandrocksandrocksand
seeking comfort
in the motion
from the lonely
stalking her.
