Rivers

RIVERS I have been through rivers all my life. Guiding me one way then another. Powerful rivers, quite rivers, stormy rivers. I followed them, telling me where to go; telling me when to stop. Their warmth wraps me each night and their coolness wakes me each morning. Seeking all they will show me, letting stones hit me; knowing stillness is in the waters. Difficult times, I ride and let it lead, the mighty river. I have fallen many times, but never to see the deep. YOU were flowing steady under my weaken feet, never ceasing. Pulled one way then another, always remembering to reclaim me. I stay in its belly, in the mist of it all, this powerful river; guiding me one way then another, always knowing the deep I will never see.

Catherine, lovely poem about life. Just remember, there is a rudder to steer with.
