Rispetto Amor Mio

Amor Mio respect the ethos of my heart
honor the flowers that I grow in full bloom
Like violets from Napoleon Bonaparte
I'm your Josephine, go tender to exhume

Amor Mio taste and be heart of my heart
let the dew drops fall afresh on April blooms
See the purple petals turn to deep-dish swart
violaceous hues of me you just can't thwart!

Popular culture suggests that men respond to respect and women to being nurtured but I think your poem captures a key element to any relationship and that is respect. Nicely done

"See the purple petals turn to deep-dish swart violaceous hues of me you just can't thwart!" Brilliant write. Delightfully romantic. I could sing this...still got a decent tenor. Just found this. This guy is great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R4XSpx114g

So beautiful! Amore mio, is that italian? I think it sounds very romantic, and i love the flow of this, rosy and fragrant just like your heart, that is blooming with fragrant lyrical poems, blessed to be able to read such poetry! Sending you light always
