Risky World

Thankful, that an earthquake hadn't struck
on another nervous day of luck,
I sat, and from my coffee cup, I supped,
hoping a volcano wouldn't interrupt,
not knowing that in the heavens, sped
an asteroid pointed at my head.

I did hear that an asteroid is heading in earth's direction, but its trajectory will send it away from us...close call.

yup, I think the news outlets sometimes exaggerate the risk, but I do understand one day our planet might get bopped by something big :-))
