Risking the Perils of the Long Road
Risking The Perils Of The Long Road
Sitting so happily silent as a sleeping toad
Wild forest stirring my thirst for adventure
Sun wakes me, soon walking down this long road
Racing stream alongside a great thirst quencher.
Ahead are fields of gold covering acres of wheat
I hear fantastic thrills and ladies a'calling
Mystery awaits the bold, the dreams I shall meet
Not to fear the wickedly bad and the falling
Happiness, song and love- food that I shall eat
Onward! Now time to stop the useless stalling.
My mind dreaming of the first lady I will kiss
There is pleasure in the sweetest anticipation
And love dancing my life must never dare miss
Songs flying forth to claim her great adulation.
Each curve sends me into its beautiful new realm
Where Sun sets on my heart's dearest destination
Treasures and dreams in the bounty, so overwhelm
Spirit soon speaks in joyous and dear affirmation
Ahead a golden palace shines in its deep creation
Granted the miracle far beyond humble expectation.
Never again sitting as silent as a sleepy ole toad
Treasures ahead, risking the perils of the long road!
