Rising To Inspire

Heavy the moment gone upper crust stiff
with rigid emotion pushed under the swell
as only the ebb in desire can tell
when swallowed in lumps burning sugar
If it's all the same to the turning of tides
maybe the sediment soul will engage
and rise past the moment a permanent sage
in the arms of devoted elation
Sensitive love is like kindling to light
with breathing gone labored to burn and to cry
as only the whisper in why, why ,why, why
spin circles intelligent minds
Slice off the tension with white gleaming teeth
to inspire to greatness and straighten to rise
the lashes of long incubated surprise
to melt the exterior shell,

for you are the flame in these lungs as they swell
to lend me an inhale of greatness.
