From transgressions’ downfall rant
my soul seeks redemption grant
clinging to the Saviour Christ
for pardon, compassion-priced...
Now, with praise-filled gratitude
my faith*-anchored fortitude
keeps rising against trials
urged by good works’ portrayals~~~
From miseries’ despair-sigh
due to guilt I can’t deny
my heart cleaves to God’s mercy
bestowing full clemency...
Now, enjoying blessings flow
along triumphant joy-glow
I bask in prayer delight
while sharing the Gospel light~~~
From frustration-driven bout
my mind that’s wrestling in doubt
yields to truth immutable
trusts Sovereign Who’s able...
Now, propelled by His strength-grace
I continue in the race
braced with resurrection hope
to reach set victory scope~~~
From grip of vain selfishness
tying me to worthlessness
my will yields to freedom’s love
offered by the Lord above...
Now, serving for His glory
vanquishing fear and worry
I persevere despite pain
assured of His smile to gain!!!
*1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
