Rise Up To Pray

Jim Crow had been put to rest Civil unrest was able to rest The Vietnam war finally ended War protesters also took a rest We went to the moon and back The cold war had been won "Tear down these walls" was done We corrected many of our wrongs But from God we slowly went astray We ate and drank, and rose up to play* There may be trouble just ahead, But let's not lose our heads. There's a fork in the road just ahead, May God be honored and direct our path. God is still pleading on his throne For His children to come back home. 102420PS *Inspired by Exodus 32:6
